Frequently Asked Questions

I have never done yoga before. Is this retreat suitable for beginners?

Yes, our yoga and meditation classes are suited for all levels of experience. In our physical practice we will provide you with variations of the pose so that you can take the option that suits you best. Our meditations are guided, and you will learn techniques to help you in this practice. As always, go at your own pace.

Will I be ok to attend if I don't know anyone?

Many people attend yoga retreats by themselves. Some people enjoy bringing a friend (we have a great option for those happy to share a king bed with their bestie). Whilst our yoga retreat is about getting to know yourself, you will also be sharing the experience with like-minded people in a non-judgemental environment. You will soon get to know others attending the retreat early on and maybe even make some life-long friends.

How do I get there?

The retreat is located at Esperance Chalet Village, 29 Frank Drive Esperance. Esperance is a 4-hour drive from Kalgoorlie. If you are coming from Perth the drive will take about 8 hours or you can fly. If you would like to car pool please let us know when you book the retreat. There is usually someone else who wants the company. Plus, it is a really good way to get to know someone before attending the retreat.

Do I have to attend all activities?

To get the most out of the retreat, you are encouraged to participate in the sessions. However, this is your break! If your body needs some extra rest in the mornings or you need to just spend some time alone, you are more than welcome to do that.

What should I bring with me to the retreat?

You should bring comfortable yoga clothes, warm and cool weather clothes (it is Esperance after all), bathers and a beach towel, a water bottle, and any personal items you may need (such as toiletries). You may also want to bring a journal or notebook to take notes during workshops and classes. Or a book to read in your downtime.

What is the food like on the retreat?

Breakfast will consist of healthy granola & yoghurt, fresh sour dough bread (from Bread Local) and fruits. Our lunches will be held at local venues so that we can enjoy what Esperance has to offer. Dinners will be wholesome and healthy home cooked vegetarian meals. We also cater for different dietary requirements.

Will there be free time to explore the area around the retreat?

Yes, there will be scheduled down time where you can visit beautiful beaches Esperance, use the complimentary bikes to explore, relax in a hammock, meditate, or journal in the beautiful natural surroundings.

Do you have a payment plan?

Yes, fortnightly or monthly payment plans are available. Just get in touch when you book the retreat and we will work out an arrangement to suit you.

What is the cancellation policy?

More than 8 weeks prior to the retreat you will be eligible for a 75% refund. During this time if we fill your spot, we will be happy to provide a full refund (less any fees incurred for those on a payment plan).

Between 4 and 8 weeks you will receive a 50% refund. Full refund (less payment plan fees) if we can still fill your spot.

Less than 4 weeks no refund. You will be able to transfer your spot to someone else. However, this is your responsibility  to find a replacement.
